WHY I GOT INTO THE BIZ / WHAT INSPIRES ME:
Like so many, my business began as a hobby. I started etching glassware back in 2009, as a way to personalize a wedding gift for some friends. I immediately loved the finished result, and the rest is history!
As of August 2017, I re-started my business in earnest, and stepped it up with new equipment. Now, with the help of my awesome C02 laser (I call her Ethel), I can etch glass, acrylic, wood, and more. I've finally been able to accept large orders (100 wine glasses, for example), and am working to obtain larger clients - such as other businesses.
My business is fueled by two desires: to create functional art, and to become a manufacturer for others. I'm growing my business, from the ground up, and hope to have it serve as my primary source of income in the next five years. I'm looking for other strong, awesome, motivated women to help me on this journey.
Oh, and I can't neglect to mention my awesome peers at Splash Gallery Olympia. I am one of 17 artist/owners at Splash, and couldn't be more proud of our gallery, or our group. As a collective, we have full ownership and responsibility, and I couldn't imagine not being part of the team.
