WHY I GOT INTO THE BIZ / WHAT INSPIRES ME:
I started shooting film photography when I was in college in Paris. Learning to shoot with film immediately captivated me with the art form and I was hooked (for life) on photography! I started working in the fashion industry in Paris and here in Washington (with Nordstrom), but when my grandfather passed away in 2012, it completely changed my focus. I realized that I didn't have any photos of myself with my grandpa and I felt strongly that my work would take on a whole new meaning if I focused on special moments in the lives of everyday people, so that's when I began shooting weddings and families. Since then, I have gotten married and had two kids of my own (a newborn and a two year old), and they are my daily source of inspiration. That and... I eat a lot of good chocolate because it makes me happy.

I CAN'T STOP EATING:
Ahhh this is a hard one. I'm kind of a foodie - sometimes to the point of being a food snob, although I try to tone that part down. I love local food in Hawaii (where I grew up). I could list out a whole bunch of different specific things like poke, manapua, saimin, pork hash, musubi, etc. Then again I'm also a huge fan of Indian food! I also reeeeally love Thai food, but I'm picky about where I get it. I also love really good Italian food, but since my family is Italian I have a really hard time eating it out at a restaurant. I love fancy chocolate.
MY STYLE IS:
As a person I'm enthusiastic, friendly, and caring, and that translates into my work.
